Tyrion Davis, 2019 running back from Southern Lab High School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, was among the standout performers at the Crimson Tide's camp on Monday. He did enough to earn the attention of Alabama head coach, Nick Saban.

"It was my second time going to Alabama's camp," Davis said. "It was a real tiring day. I enjoyed it. I learned a lot from Coach Burns. I learned different types of drills. I learned how to open my hips more and keep my balance.

"I received my offer personally from Coach Saban. It was nice to get the offer. We were in his office. It's nice. You know he is the real deal when you walk in there. You see the national championship rings on his table.

"He talked about the facilities and their graduation rate. They have a high graduation rate, but they would be even higher if they didn't have guys leave early for the NFL draft every year. He said he liked my film. He didn't try to pressure me or anything. He said they wanted me. They look forward to seeing what I can do."

Alabama has been a thorn in LSU's side in the state of Louisiana reeling in top prospects year after year. Alabama landed a few big ones in 2017 including Chris Alabama (former teammate), Dylan Moses, Devonta Smith, Phidarian Mathis and Joseph Bulovas from the Pelican State. Davis stayed with Allen and Moses on Sunday evening when he arrived in Tuscaloosa.

"There is nothing I don't like about Alabama," he said. "I love the people there. They talk to you a lot. They care for you. They welcome you. I like the facilities. I like the athletic department. I like the coaches. They got you if you need anything.

"Coach Burns is my man. I was with him all day. He is from Louisiana. That's another big thing about Alabama. They have a lot of Louisiana guys there."

LSU extended an offer to Davis shortly after the news spread of his offer from Alabama.

"LSU offered me about 15 minutes after they found out about the offer from Bama," Davis said. "It was great to get an offer from them. They are basically right in my back myard. That's always been a dream school of mine. I don't really have any favorites though right now."
