Alabama picked up a huge commitment during Sunday's Under Armour All-America Game as Roswell, Ga. defensive back Xavier McKinney surprised many by picking the Tide over Clemson. McKinney, who initially committed to Alabama in 2015 before re-opening his commitment earlier this year, is a crucial commitment at a position of need.
McKinney was expected to enroll later this month but confirmed to Rivals.com earlier this week that he will wait and enroll in June instead. McKinney is commit No. 26 in the class for the Tide and the 23rd player ranked as a four-star or higher.
Alabama has the nation's No. 1 class and is the odds-on favorite to maintain that spot through National Signing Day.
