Elite 2019 RB talks Alabama trip

Tyrion Davis, 2019 four-star running back from Southern Lab High School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, earned a scholarship offer from Alabama in June after attending the Crimson Tide's summer camp. He committed to LSU a few weeks later.

Davis grew up an LSU fan as do many top propects in the Pelican State. Alabama has recruited a lot of these players and signed several through the years.

Alabama freshman linebacker Dylan Moses was once an LSU commitment. One of the best safeties in the NFL, Landon Collins, grew up dreaming of playing for the Tigers. He won a national championship and was a unanimous All-American at Alabama.

Davis and teammate Kardell Thomas, a 2019 Rivals100 offensive guard, visited Alabama on Saturday. Former teammate Chris Allen is a freshman linebacker for the Tide. Davis enjoyed the return visit to Tuscaloosa.

"It was amazing," he said. "Kardell and I really enjoyed. It's always nice visiting Bama. It's great watching Nick Saban and Alabama practice. They are looking good. They lost a lot on defense, but they will be all right.

"I was impressed with my former teammate, Chris Allen. He is steadily moving up. Chris and all the other guys are really recruiting us to come to Alabama. They are saying it's great there and not to go anywhere else.

"I talked to all of the coaches while I was there. They were just asking how I was doing. They asked how practice was going. They asked about my mom and dad; just stuff like that."

Davis kept a close watch on the Alabama backfield during practice.

"The running backs were looking really good," he said. "They have multiple guys to choose from. They definitely are not weak at the position. When one man goes down the next man stands up."
