Recruiting: Alabama poised to strike gold once again in recruiting
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Alabama receiver Robert Foster was involved in an automobile accident Saturday evening. Foster, a senior from Monaca, Pa., was riding a dirt bike when he was struck by a car in the parking lot of the of the Mal M. Moore Athletic Facility, sources have told BamaInsider.com.
Foster posted photos of the incident on his Facebook page and stated in a video that he received 27 stitches. Both the photos and the video have since been removed from his page.
Foster is projected to be a key contributor for the Crimson Tide this season. The 6-foot-2, 196-pound receiver recorded just five receptions for 55 yards last season but was standout in Alabama's A-Day scrimmage this spring, pulling in two catches for 115 yards and a touchdown.
Foster is not expected to miss any time due to the injuries sustained in the accident. The receiver suffered a season-ending shoulder injury in 2015 when he landed awkwardly while going up for a catch against Ole Miss. Alabama will open the season against Florida State on Sept. 2 inside the new Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.
