Alabama basketball checked in at No. 7 in the Associated Press Poll on Monday. The Crimson Tide dropped one spot after defeating then-No. 24 Mississippi State before falling to then-No. 5 Tennessee on Saturday

The Tide (23-6, 12-3 SEC) ranked No. 8 US LBM Coaches poll ahead of its final two SEC matchups. Alabama will face No. 5 Florida on Wednesday before a rematch against No. 1 Auburn on Saturday.

Auburn and Duke held their positions as the two highest-ranked teams in the country. Auburn beat Ole Miss and then-No. 17 Kentucky last week and secured sole possession of the SEC regular season title after Alabama’s loss to Tennessee.

Houston climbed one spot to No. 3, while the Volunteers climbed to No. 4 after their win over Alabama. Florida stayed in the top-five, but fell two spots after an 88-83 loss to Georgia last Tuesday. The Gators rebounded with a win over then-No. 12 Texas A&M on Saturday.

After losing a heartbreaker to a strong Tennessee side, Alabama will look to rebound against an elite Florida outfit also vying for top-four seeding in the SEC Tournament. Alabama and Florida will face off at 6 p.m. CT Wednesday inside Coleman Coliseum. The game will be televised on ESPN 2.
