TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Nick Saban gave updates on four injured players during his Monday news conference. The head coach confirmed that tight end Miller Forristall suffered an ACL injury and is out for the season while starting linebackers Rashaan Evans (groin), Anfernee Jennings (ankle) and Dylan Moses will return to practice on Monday.
“I don’t know what the status of these guys will be, we’ll see how they progress during the week,” Saban said of his injured linebacking trio.

Evans suffered a groin injury during Alabama’s season opener against Florida State. He has been replaced by Keith Holcombe, who has recorded 16 combined tackles over the past two games, including a game-high nine against Colorado State.
Jennings sprained his ankle during the opener and underwent a successful surgery the following week. The 6-foot-3, 262-pound outside linebacker has been missed in the pass rush, as Alabama has recorded just one sack over the past two games.
Moses, a five-star freshman, was held out of practice last week and did not play against Colorado State over the weekend. He has appeared as a linebacker in Alabama’s dime rabbits package and has also been a significant contributor on special teams.
While the team is anxious for the trio to return, Saban said their ability to contribute immediately remains to be seen.
“First of all, we don’t know how healthy those guys are going to be or how fast they’ll be up to full speed, and we won’t know that until later in the week in terms of we see how their rehab is going,” Saban said. “We’ll try to make a decision on how we’ll use them in the game and how effective they can be.”
