TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Alabama tight end Miller Forristall could miss the rest of the season with an ACL injury, head coach Nick Saban said following Saturday’s 41-23 win over Colorado State.

Saban said the sophomore tight end would have an MRI Sunday. If results come back positive, Forristall would miss the remainder of the year.

“He has a knee, and it will probably be confirmed tomorrow,” Saban said. “He’s probably got an ACL, at least we’ll get an MRI to confirm it. If that’s the case, he’ll be out for the year.”

Forristall left the game in the third quarter after getting hit on a 12-yard reception. The tight end had to be helped off the field following the play and later limped off to the locker room. The catch was Forristall’s first of the season. Last year he tallied five receptions for 73 yards.

Alabama has already lost linebackers Christian Miller (torn biceps) and Terrell Lewis (torn ligament in elbow) for the season.

“The game still has to be played,” Alabama quarterback Jalen Hurts said following the game. “Somebody has to step up and do their part and execute their role, execute what they need to do. We have a lot of guys that can step in at that position, and we’ll be ready come Monday to get back to work.”
