TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Spring practice not only gives Ryan Grubb a chance to work with his new team but also allows some of Alabama's younger players to get valuable experience ahead of their first collegiate season.

During his first media availability as Alabama's offensive coordinator, Grubb was asked about three of Alabama's highly touted offensive freshmen — running back AK Dear, offensive lineman Micheal Carroll and quarterback Keelon Russell.
