Bradley Bozeman helped Alabama tie a school record as he was the 10th former Crimson Tide player to go off the board in this year’s NFL Draft. The offensive lineman was selected by the Baltimore Ravens with the No. 215 overall pick in the sixth round on Saturday. The 10 selections equal last year’s mark and tie an SEC record.

Bozeman joins Minkah Fitzpatrick (No. 11, Miami Dolphins), Payne (No. 13, Washington Redskins), Rashaan Evans (No. 22, Tennessee Titans) Calvin Ridley (No. 26, Atlanta Falcons), Ronnie Harrison (No. 93, Jacksonville Jaguars), Da’Shawn Hand (No. 114, Detroit Lions), Anthony Averett (No. 118, Baltimore Ravens), JK Scott (No. 172, Green Bay Packers) and Shaun Dion Hamilton (No. 197, Washington Redskins) in this year’s Alabama draft class.

Bozeman didn’t receive an invite to last month’s NFL Combine. It turns out he didn’t need one. Last season, the offensive lineman earned first-team All-SEC honors from The Associated Press while picking up second-team honors by conference coaches. He was also a unanimous second-team All-American by all five major outlets.

Bozeman has started every game at center for Alabama the past two seasons and has 31 career starts over his four-year college career. He was voted a permanent team captain by his teammates last season.

Bozeman dropped 32 pounds this offseason and showed up at Alabama’s Pro Day at 6-foot-5, 296 pounds. That didn’t affect his strength as he was still able to bench 27 reps of 225 pounds during the workout. Some have questioned how Bozeman’s lack of athleticism will translate to the NFL. However, the offensive lineman said he plans to make up for any shortcomings with his work ethic and leadership.
