One NFL Scout told NFL Draft Writer Matt Miller that O.J. Howard looked like a, "expletive, looks like a statue." Daniel Jeremiah a Pro-Football NFL Network Analyst said on twitter, "This is the best tight end group that I've seen since I began scouting. This is pretty unbelievable what we are seeing."

Howard told the media on Friday, “I have a lot of respect for all the guys in the tight end class, we have a deep class this year,” Howard said. “A lot of great talent, to be the first guy off the board would be a tremendous accomplishment. But I’m far from that, I have a lot of work to do.” Full Article Here

On Saturday his testing numbers were off the charts. Following 22 bench reps of 225 pounds on Friday, he ran a 4.51 40-time and looked fantastic in individual workouts. Impressive and freakish numbers for a 6-foot-6, 249-pound tight end.

Howard would run the second fastest 40-time out of the tight ends today, behind Ole Miss' Evan Engram who ran a blazing 4.42, but is also three inches shorter and 15 pounds lighter than Howard. Howard also had an unreal broad jump of 10-feet-1 inch.
