In one of its most dominant performances in school history, No. 1 Alabama made a statement in its SEC opener, beating Vanderbilt 59-0. The Crimson Tide recorded a school-record 38 first downs while outgaining the Commodores by 599 yards (677-78), another school best. The 59-point margin of victory was Alabama’s biggest since a 59-0 win over Texas A&M inside Bryant-Denny Stadium in 2014.
