Any discussion of Alabama’s spring camp begins here. Last year there was talk of a slight quarterback battle at this time, but it was understood that Jalen Hurts would more than likely return as Alabama’s starter. This year, the race is wide open as backup Tua Tagovailoa’s game-winning performance in the national championship might have given him the upper hand heading into camp.

Whether or not Alabama’s quarterback situation is settled heading into the fall, these next few months will give us at least a glimpse at how the Crimson Tide will approach the position heading into next season. While Hurts and Tagovailoa lead the way, Alabama will also look for solid improvement from Mac Jones who redshirted during his first year on campus last season.
