Cameron Latu, Rivals100 defensive end from Olympus High School in Salt Lake City, Utah, announced his commitment to Alabama moments ago. The 6-foot-5, 235-pound athlete committed to Alabama instead of USC, Washington, Utah and Nebraska.

Latu is commitment No.9 for the Crimson Tide. He is the second commitment for Alabama this week joining Slade Bolden, three-star athlete from West Monroe High School in Louisiana.

“The fact that they’ve been in the College Football Playoff stood out,” Latu told Rivals.com in an earlier interview. “They’re just so organized. When I was over there they just showed me a lot of unique things they do that other schools don’t.

“I like their facilities a lot and I like their coaching staff. Coach Tosh Lupoi I really like him a lot. I feel like he could get me far if I went and played for him.”
