TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Another one of Alabama’s young, offensive playmakers has suffered an injury during spring camp. Rising sophomore Jerry Jeudy confirmed a report Monday night stating that he recently sustained a meniscus injury that required surgery.
According to a report from AL.com, the star receiver could possibly return before the end of Alabama’s spring practice. The Crimson Tide will hold its A-Day Game on April 21.
Jeudy finished second on the team in receiving last season, pulling in 14 receptions for 264 yards and two touchdowns. The former five-star was has been seen lining up at the slot position with the first-team offense this spring.
Previously this spring, rising sophomore quarterback Tua Tagovailoa broke a bone in his throwing hand.
Alabama returns for its sixth practice of spring camp Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. CT. Head coach will Nick Saban will hold a post-practice news conference at 6 p.m.
