ONE: 24 Alabama Players Drafted To The NFL Since 2015

As noted following round one of the NFL Draft, under Nick Saban Alabama has sent 22 former players in the first round since 2009. This year Marlon Humphrey, Jonathan Allen, O.J. Howard, and Reuben Foster joined those alumni. Two things are expected at Alabama: Winning is the obvious first and the second is producing NFL type talent. Despite National Radio Host Collin Cowherd’s best efforts to say Alabama players are maxed out from being grinded out while at Alabama, it’s clear that NFL Coaches feel differently as the Crimson Tide have had 24 former players drafted into the NFL since 2015. As of April 30, 2017, a total of 52 Alabama Alumni are on league rosters.

TWO: Alabama Baseball's Tailspin

Not sure what to say or what to write, other than Alabama Baseball’s tailspin continues. The Crimson Tide have now lost seven games in a row following a three-game series against LSU. How bad are things getting? Alabama is 2-15 over their last 17 games, is 2-19 in conference play which translates to a .095% conference winning percentage. In the first year under Alabama Baseball Coach Greg Goff, fans and former alumni are starting to speak up.

THREE: Favorite Part of the NFL Draft

Straight up, my favorite part of the NFL Draft was watching TJ Onwunabibe, a 14-year old eighth-grader who was diagnosed with brain cancer call out the Baltimore Raven’s first pick. Seeing his dream come true was such a memorable moment.

FOUR: Alabama Softball is now 39-12

The Crimson Tide Softball Team will take on Ole Miss on Monday, May 1st to complete their three-game series against the Lady Rebels. The Crimson Tide won game one 2-0, then lost in the final inning in game two 2-1. Scoring runs continue to be a concern for Alabama as the Crimson Tide is averaging 3.2 runs per game in the month of April. The regular season comes to a close with a three-game stretch against Auburn from May 5th through the 7th and it’s a matchup that is pivotal regarding conference positioning as currently, Auburn is 15-6 and third in the SEC, Alabama is currently 11-8 and 5th in the SEC.

FIVE: Mr. Irrelevant

Chad Kelly is your 2017 Mr. Irrelevant. The former Ole Miss Quarterback who threw for a combined 6,800-yards and 50 touchdowns during the 2015 and 2016 season was the last pick in the NFL Draft by the Denver Broncos. At 6-foot-2 and 224 pounds, Kelly is 1-1 against Alabama, but his off the field issues continue to plague his name. This is what NFL.com’s sources section reads on Kelly, "He's okay. I think he could be a low-end NFL starter. I just wouldn't want to put my name behind him because I think it will come back and bite you with on-field and off-field mistakes. We value leadership at quarterback and I don't trust his."
