TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — No. 3 Alabama worked outside Wednesday as it continues to prepare for Saturday’s matchup against No. 2 LSU. Players were dressed in full pads and worked under sunny, 74-degree weather. Here are some notes from the media viewing period.

— Wednesday was the last time the media will see Tua Tagovailoa before Saturday’s game. The left-hander looked to be moving well on his injured ankle during rollout drills with the rest of the quarterbacks. However, Tagovailoa did take a knee for a series of reps. Earlier in the day, head coach Nick Saban said the starting quarterback’s status will still be a game-time decision.

— Najee Harris (ankle) looked to be taking things lightly during drills with the rest of the running backs. He sat out some reps and went half speed on others. Earlier in the week, Saban said Harris would be “fine” for LSU.

— Jerome Ford spent much of the viewing period getting his foot taped by a trainer. Brian Robinson Jr. let the running backs followed by Keilan Robinson and Chadarius Townsend. Harris went last in the group on the reps he participated in.

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Alabama worked outside Tuesday for its second game-week practice in preparation for Saturday’s game against LSU. Players were dressed in full pads and worked under sunny, 69-degree weather for the workout. Here are some notes from the media viewing period.

— Tua Tagovailoa was an active participant during the viewing period for a second straight day. The left-hander was asked to go through a few drop-back passes and looked fine moving on his injured right ankle. Tagovailoa continues to wear a black sleeve on his right leg. His right ankle looks to be taped.

— Evan Neal (groin) was also a full participant and worked as the starting left guard with the offensive line.

— Landon Dickerson worked as the first-team center, while Deonte Brown was the first-team right guard. The second-team interior line included Pierce Quick at left guard, Chris Owens at center and Matt Womack at right guard. The third team was made up of Tanner Bowles, Darrian Dalcourt and Emil Ekiyor Jr./Kendall Randolph.

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Alabama worked outside Monday as it held its first game-week practice in preparation for Saturday’s matchup against LSU. Players were in shorts and shells and worked under cloudy 59-degree weather. Here are some notes from the media viewing period.

— Tua Tagovailoa was present during the viewing period for the first time since undergoing tightrope surgery on his right ankle on Oct. 20. He was wearing a sleeve on his right leg.

— Tagovailoa looked like his normal self during the viewing period. He was moving around without hesitation and had the same velocity on his throws.

“If he can play in the game, it’ll be a game-time decision,” head coach Nick Saban said during his Monday news conference earlier in the day. “He did practice two days last week. We’ll see where he’s at today and then we’ll manage the reps accordingly. When I say that, we cannot predict. If he goes out there today and he looks good, then his rep count is going to go up and we’ll prepare him as if he’s going to have an opportunity to play in the game. If he has a setback during the week, you can’t really control that, but that would change the plan.

“The way we practice on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, both quarterbacks are going to get pretty much the same reps, and that’s probably how we’ll manage it this week in terms of their preparation.”

"I’ve been pretty consistent with the message with Tua. If he can play in the game, it will be a game-time decision," Saban said during his Monday news conference. "He did practice two days last week. We’ll see where he's at today, and then we’ll manage the reps accordingly. When I say that, we cannot predict. If he goes out there today and he looks good, then his rep count is going to go up and we'll prepare him as if he’s going to have an opportunity to play in the game. If he has a setback during the week, you can’t really control that, but that would change the plan.
