*** As expected, redshirt freshman offensive lineman Barrett Jones went through individual drills with the first offensive line. Jones has been practicing with the first group for the last several days as UA coaches look to find a new starter at right guard. Alfred McCullough is among the other primary contenders for the role.
*** Tyler Love and John Michael Boswell manned the tackle positions for the second offensive line, with Love on the left side and Boswell on the right. ... Freshman D.J. Fluker worked at right tackle with the third group.
*** Don'ta Hightower went through individual drills at his normal weakside linebacker position, with Jerrell Harris again working in the second group at the 'Will'.
*** The first four running backs leading individual drills, in order, were Mark Ingram, Roy Upchurch, Terry Grant and freshman Trent Richardson.
*** Noseguard Kerry Murphy was not in attendance at Saturday's scrimmage. The Hoover native has missed most of camp due to a death in his family.
*** No players were wearing black (non-contact) jerseys signifying an injury. Running back Jeramie Griffin, who was lost for the season to a knee injury last week, wasn't spotted on hand.
*** Sunday marks the Crimson Tide's first day off of camp since practices began on Aug.6. UA returns to the practice field on Monday.
