Alabama’s coaching carousel is still spinning less than a month before spring camp. First-year head coach Kalen DeBoer will be without his right-hand man as offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb is set to take the same role with the Seattle Seahawks.
DeBoer and Grubb spent the last two seasons at Washington, putting together one of the nation’s top offenses. The two have also worked together at Fresno State, Eastern Michigan and Sioux Falls. This fall will mark the first time they will be apart since 2019.
While Grubb’s departure serves as a gut punch to Alabama’s recent momentum, the Crimson Tide has no time to lick its wounds. With spring camp just around the corner, here are three directions Alabama can turn as it looks for a new play-caller.
