Brian Robinson, four-star running back from Hillcrest High School in Tuscaloosa, Ala., was the biggest and best player at his position on Saturday at the Rivals Camp in Atlanta. The Alabama commitment was named the running back MVP after a fantastic performance.

"It feels great," Robinson said after the camp. "I put in a lot of hard work. I felt like I deserved it. I felt like I earned it. I did great overall in the individual drills. I also felt like I did great in the one-on-ones.

"About 95-percent of the passes thrown to me were completions including the really difficult ones where I had to work to catch it. I made some big plays out there.

"I thought it was a great camp. I met a lot of new people. There were a lot of great athletes from around the country at the camp. There was a lot of great competition."

Robinson was scheduled to attend Alabama's spring scrimmage on Saturday. He decided to participate in the Rivals Camp. He has attended a few practices and will return for more.

"I plan on making the next couple of practices, and I will attend the spring game," he said. "They have a real talented team this year. The defense looks really good. I know Bo (Scarbrough) will have to step up and make plays on offense."

It's not impossible for other schools to recruit the Tuscaloosa area star, and several have yet to shy away. He plans to visit Florida or Florida State in the near future. He took a recent unofficial visit to Athens.

"I went to Georgia last week," Robinson said. "It was a great visit. I had a great time over there. It's a great atmosphere. I really liked it.

"Georgia is a great school. They produce great running backs. I have been watching them the last few years. I know some great running backs have come out of there."

Robinson is taking visits, but said he remains solid with his commitment to Alabama.
