Michael Parker, three-star tight end from Westminster Christian in Huntsville, Alabama, has been on Alabama's radar since he impressed at camp during the summer. He was in Tuscaloosa on Saturday for the home opener against Fresno State.

"It was good," Parker said. "The visit went pretty well. I went down there with my family and girlfriend.

"It was a good atmosphere. Obviously, it was a smaller game, but still a good many fans down there. I thought they played pretty well. Offensively and defensively they were pretty solid."

Alabama's offense moved the ball around against Fresno State which included a touchdown pass to tight end, Hale Hentges.

"I think Coach Daboll is a great coach," Parker said. "What he does scheme-wise is really good. I am very impressed with the offense so far. It will continue to get better."

Parker is still in hopes of an offer from the University of Alabama.

"I spoke to Coach Daboll and Coach Panuzzio," he said. "I also talked to Jody Wright. They pretty much said they are just waiting to see. They are going to watch film from the first three games and then let me know what the situation is."

The talented proper plans to return to Tuscaloosa a few more times this season. He also expects to visit Auburn, UCF and Purdue.
