1. What running backs are the Crimson Tide recruiting and who do they have the best shot with?
BONE:
Alabama is still heavily recruiting Asa Martin, four-star from Austin High School in Decatur, Alabama. The Auburn commitment had a great trip to Tuscaloosa for the Arkansas game. Expect a return visit before the end of the season. Jerome Ford, three-star from Armwood High School in Seffner, Florida, is another back heavily pursued by the Crimson Tide.
Alabama hopes to add one back in this class. A few other players committed elsewhere still in the evaluation stage include Devin Brumfield (Texas Tech) and Chris Curry (LSU). Harold Joiner, four-star from Mountain Brook High School in Alabama, has visited Alabama a few times this year. Expect him to leave the state.The best guess as of now is Alabama will sign Ford, Brumfield or Curry. Things can certainly change with Martin if a coaching change happens in Auburn.

1. Has Jalen Hurts impressed you this season and what does he need to do to improve his game?
TSOUKALAS:
Jalen Hurts has done about what you would expect from him this season. The sophomore is just as dangerous with his legs while showing steady improvement in the passing game. Last week Hurts was able to flash some of his downfield passing ability which is encouraging for Alabama’s offense moving forward. We won’t really know how ready he is to take over a game until Alabama is pushed by an opponent. Looking at the rest of the Crimson Tide’s schedule, it’s debatable whether that will happen until the SEC Championship Game.

1. Final thoughts on Alabama landing Butler, how big is it?
HARPER:
Alabama received a huge commitment to kick off the 2018 recruiting cycle by picking up Jared Butler. It's a big one because Alabama expects Collin Sexton to depart for the NBA draft after this season, and they need a replacement. Butler is not a one and done player, so it will be big for the team to have a PG for the next 3-4 years. Now, he is a combo guard so he can play SG as well. His primary position is PG and that's where I project him to play the majority of his career.

1. What two offensive statistics stand out as a whole when looking at Alabama’s offense?
Waldrep:
Alabama is averaging a conference-best 6.5 yards per carry this season overall and 6.9 in SEC play. Running back Damien Harris leads the way with 9.2 yards per carry by himself, but isn’t doing all the work. Quarterback Jalen Hurts is averaging 7.1 yards per carry on a team-high 79 carries.On the other side of the ball, Alabama is holding conference opponents to a mere 7.75 points per game. South Carolina and Georgia are the only other teams that are allowing less than 25 points per game in SEC play.

New Breakfast Spot
Found my new favorite place to eat Breakfast. It's Wright's in Tuscaloosa. Here is a look at the menu below. I go with the two eggs, meat, and side for a five buck chuck. It's old school the coffee is as black as night, and the service reminds me of what I imaged the 50's and 60's to be like. I have tried grits and overall this place is not better than the Waysider, but it's solid and you can get a seat with ease and the food is A+ along with the value.
