Don't Miss! Alabama recruiting Q&A

DeVonta Lee, 2019 Rivals100 wide receiver from Amite High School in Louisiana, is one of the top players in the Pelican State. He is also former teammates with Alabama freshman wide receiver, DeVonta Smith.

Lee was in Tuscaloosa last weekend for the Crimson Tide's 66-3 win against Ole Miss.

"The visit was nice," he said. "I had a really good time. The stadium was so loud. I really liked how the players brought a lot of energy out on the field.

"I talked to the coaches. I met with Coach Saban. That meant a lot to me. They were excited to see me. They love my film. They are not sure if they want me to play receiver or defensive back. They are going to break it down."

Lee is considered one of the best receivers in the 2019 class. He may play on the opposite side of the ball at the college level.

"They (Alabama) haven't really offered me yet," he said. "They are going to decide which position they want me to play. I don't know where I want to play. I do like the defensive side of the ball. I can play safety or come down as an outside linebacker. I can play mostly anything."

The four-star has high interest in Alabama. Expect a return visit to Tuscaloosa.

"I have been to Bama three or four times," Lee said. 'I like the stadium. They have a lot of great athletes. They have a great academic program. I like the coaching staff and the facilities. It's a really good school. You can learn and then go to the NFL.'
