Question:  What SEC team presents the biggest challenge for Alabama in 2017?

Andrew Bone (BamaInsider Recruiting Analyst) Auburn. There is no doubt this pick is for Auburn. Alabama has some big home games. A trip to College Station may be tough. Auburn presents the biggest challenge with the Iron Bowl on the Plains this season. Many expect Jarrett Stidham to have a monster season for the Tigers. Auburn will have a good defense, and they have talent returning on offense. Gus Malzahn's job may also be on the line by then. Records are thrown out the door when it's Bama vs. Auburn.

Tony Tsoukalas (BamaInsider Team Writer) Auburn. Alabama has cemented itself as the king of the SEC in recent years. That could easily be seen during SEC Media Days when every other school in the conference was pressed on how it could get to the Tide’s level. With that being said, it’s really difficult to make it through conference play unscathed in the SEC for two straight seasons.

The SEC team with the best chance of knocking off Alabama currently appears to be Auburn. The Tigers received 11 votes to win the conference during the SEC Media Days preseason poll. That was the second most in the conference, albeit a far way off from Alabama’s 217 votes. If JUCO transfer Jarrett Stidham is the real deal at quarterback and Tigers are playing for a playoff spot, Alabama’s will have a tough task when it travels to Auburn on Nov. 25.

Kyle Henderson (BamaInsider Managing Editor) Attending SEC Media Days recently it was apparent that LSU Football Coach Ed Orgeron has Alabama on his mind. He almost seemed robotic when he said he understands that as the LSU Football Coach, you have to beat Alabama. He also noted that he did not feel that the gap was too far off between his team and Alabama and mentioned that it was 0-0 up until the 3rd quarterback of last year’s 10-0 game. LSU heads to Tuscaloosa on November 4. Get your popcorn ready, there should be plenty of fireworks on-hand.

Diego Delgado (Selected Premium Subscriber asked to contribute) It's still LSU. People make fun of Coach Orgeron, but he has two of the hottest coordinators in CFB in Dave Aranda and Matt Canada. Everyone saw how well Aranda attacked UAs offense last year. IF Canada can get just a slight improvement in the play of QB Danny Ettling the Tigers will be a tough out for UA.
