Don't Miss! Weekend recruiting tidbits
Jeffery Johnson, three-star defensive tackle from Brookhaven High School in Mississippi, traveled to Alabama last Friday for the Champions Cook-Out. It was the first time Johnson visited Tuscaloosa.
"The visit went well," Johnson said. "It was my first time being on campus. It was a big shock to me. I really liked it up there. I got to meet with Coach Saban and Coach Dunbar. We had a good time.
"The food was good. They had a buffet. They had the best honey BBQ wings ever. They had ribs, mac-n-cheese. They had a lot of good stuff. My coach warned me about going on visits and how they get you with those buffets. He didn't want me coming back any heavier."
Johnson traveled to Tuscaloosa with his defensive line coach (Phillip Poole). He spent the day meeting the coaches, visiting the campus and touring the facilities.
