Alabama lands No.1 kicker

Joseph Bulovas, three-star kicker from Mandeville High School in Louisiana, decommited from Georgia Tech on Monday. He announced his commitment via Twitter on Wednesday morning to the University of Alabama.

"As a seven year old kicking in the back yard, I didn't quite know where it might take me...I would like to thank God for all the blessings he has bestowed upon me. Second, I would like to thank my family, friends, and coaches that never stopped believing in me along with Chris Sailer (nationally known kicking coach) who has made me the kicker I am today. With that being said, I would like announce I will be playing my college football on scholarship for the Crimson Tide at The University of Alabama!!! #RollTide ," Bulovas said in a statement.

Alabama lost a commitment from Brandon Ruiz, three-star kicker from Williams Field High School in Gilbert, Arizona. He opted to stay in-state and flipped his commitment to Arizona State.
