2016 forward Armond Davis commits to Tide

The University of Alabama men's basketball program landed its second commitment for the 2016 season on Wednesday as Ar'Mond Davis, a 6-6 swing forward from the College of Southern Idaho announced via Twitter that he had selected coach Avery Johnson's program.
"Truly blessed to be commited to the University of Alabama!!," Davis said on Twitter. "Love the coaches and players #SEC #RollTide @CoachAvery6"

Davis, a native of Tacoma, Washington, visited the UA campus last weekend. Other schools recruiting Davis included Texas A&M, Texas, LSU and Memphis, where he had previously committed.
Davis averaged 10.9 points and 3.9 rebounds per game at the College of Southern Idaho last year as a freshman. He averaged 26.3 points points per game as a high school senior at Tacoma Foss High School.
Alabama's two commitments are Davis and high school All-American Terrance Ferguson of Dallas. UA is expected to add more players to the class as Johnson builds his roster.
