Alabama is set to take part in SEC Media Days on July 18, marking the unofficial start to the Crimson Tide’s 2018 season. While the battle between Jalen Hurts and Tua Tagovailoa is sure to absorb most of the headlines leading up to the season, it’s not the only one-on-one competition to keep an eye on this fall. Due to its importance, the quarterback position will always generate the most attention. However, Alabama fans know all too well that the person lining up for kicks can be just as influential in success.
