The more notable preseason polls will be released in August. However, EA Sports got a jump on ranking this year’s college football teams ahead of the release of its College Football 25 video game which will be released on July 19.

After ranking college football's best stadium atmospheres, offenses and defenses earlier this week, EA Sports released the top 25 rated teams in its video game Friday. Alabama came in at No. 4, tying Texas with a 92 overall rating. The Crimson Tide trailed a top three of Georgia (95 overall), Ohio State (93) and Oregon (93).

Alabama’s upcoming schedule will see the Tide play four teams ranked in EA Sports’ top 25, including No. 1 Georgia, No. 8 LSU, No. 17 Oklahoma and No. 18 Wisconsin.

Earlier in the week, EA Sports rated Alabama as the No. 3 offense (91 overall) and No. 4 defense (90 overall). Bryant-Denny Stadium was rated as the No. 2 toughest place to play behind Texas A&M’s Kyle Field.

Here’s a look at EA Sports’ rankings this week.
