TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Alabama moved indoors Wednesday to escape the rain as players participated in their second practice in preparation for Saturday's game against Louisiana-Lafayette. Players were dressed in full pads for the workout. Here are some notes from the media viewing period.

— The quarterbacks threw to each other before moving on to footwork drills. Jalen Hurts led the line followed by Tua Tagovailoa, Mac Jones and walk-ons Layne Hatcher and Braxton Barker.

— Hurts put a great spin on the ball during warmups and was peppering in passes to Tagovailoa. Both quarterbacks look very fluid in their movements during drills.

— Jerry Jeudy led the receivers and was followed by DeVonta Smith, Henry Ruggs, Tyrell Shavers, Jalen Waddle and Derek Kief.

— Chadarius Townsend (6-foot, 194 pounds) was wearing a No. 13 scout-team jersey representing Louisiana-Lafayette receiver Ryheem Malone (5-foot-9, 187 pounds). Malone leads the Ragin’ Cajuns in receptions with 13 for 122 yards.
