The 6-foot-3, 245-pound rising junior also had offers from Louisville and South Florida. He is the lone tight end committed to Alabama for the 2014 class.
Flournoy-Smith was rated as the No. 12 tight end in the nation before signing with University of Georgia in 2012. He played in eight games but did not record a reception. He was arrested for a false report of a crime, filing a police report saying textbooks were stolen before being found turning those textbooks in for cash.
He left UGA and enrolled at Georgia Military in 2013, playing in six games. He will have three years to complete two seasons of eligibility at Alabama.
