Third Tide player arrested over weekend

According to a report from The Tuscaloosa News, a third Alabama football player was arrested over the weekend after being involved in an altercation outside of an off-campus bar.
Sophomore linebacker Brandon Fanney was arrested and brought to Tuscaloosa County Jail early Saturday morning on charges of disorderly conduct. Fanney was released after posting bond for his $300 bail.

Fanney was arrested along with fellow Tide football players Brandon Deaderick and Roy Upchurch for their involvement in an incident in front of The Legacy, a bar located on The Strip.
Fanney played just one snap last season against Florida International but worked his way up the depth chart during spring practice after moving from defensive end to outside linebacker. Fanney ended the spring working as the second string "Jack" linebacker behind Keith Saunders.
Doug Walker, the Associate Athletics Director for Media Relations at Alabama, said UA was not prepared to comment on the arrest as of Monday evening.
