Malik Hornsby has found a new home.

The dynamic quarterback announced on Monday that he will be transferring from Arkansas to Texas State. It is a big win for first-year head coach G.J. Kinne, who has taken over in San Marcos after a short stint at Incarnate Word.

Hornsby, a Texas native, arrives back in his home state where he starred at Fort Bend Marshall in the Greater Houston Area on the high school level. The Bobcats beat out Nebraska for the coveted transfer signal caller.

He proved to be electric with the ball in his hands while at Arkansas, where the Razorbacks found creative ways to get him involved in the offense alongside KJ Jefferson.

Hornsby is one of the fastest players in college football, a big reason why Razorbacks offensive coordinator Kendal Briles used him as a receiver and rusher in addition to regular quarterback duties. Now, he gets the opportunity to flourish behind center in San Marcos.
