Ten Alabama players invited to NFL Combine

A total of 10 former University of Alabama football players will participate in the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis later this month.

The most decorated defensive player in Alabama's storied history Jonathan Allen, fresh off being winning the Lombardi Award, is widely considering to be one of the first players chosen in the this year's draft.

Linebacker Reuben Foster was extended an invitation, but according to a report by espn.com Foster will not participate in any drills during the event but he will interview with NFL teams.

Other Alabama players to receive invitations include linebacker Ryan Anderson, tight end O.J. Howard, cornerback Marlon Humphrey, safety Eddie Jackson, offensive tackle Cam Robinson, wide receiver ArDarius Stewart, defensive lineman Dalvin Tomlinson and linebacker Tim Williams.

The NFL Combine runs from Feb. 28 through March 6.
