What have you been doing since Signing Day? "Running, working out and trying to eat right so I have a chance to play."
Present size: "6-4, 260."
On his offseason workouts: "I work out in the morning, I get up at about 5. I run track too."
On what kind of position plans may be in the works: "Jack linebacker."
On his weight room numbers: "Bench 320. I have no idea what I squat."
On his reporting date: "May 30."
On his future jersey number: "13. I sat down and talked to my coaches about it and we came up with that. I gave them four numbers but got No. 13."
Self-description of playing style: "Elusiveness, speed and I can read defenses. A smart player, I guess."
On what you're looking forward to the most on campus: "I just want to get down there and do whatever I can to be the best that I can. Meeting new players and doing whatever it takes to be the best I can."
On his future roommate: "Phillip Sims. He's down there right now. We text all the time."
On why Alabama was right for him: "Because it has the best help in academics and will help me graduate. Football, there wasn't a better place to go."
On his recruitment by other schools: "It was North Carolina, Alabama."
Did you go to A-Day? "It was a lot of fun. I love it down there. I really enjoy going down there."
Something most people don't know about you: "That I'm humble. I'm not a cocky guy."
On other athletic interests: "I ran 4.47 at a combine and 4.49. I ran 11.2 in the 100 at my last track meet."
Favorite movie: "Death at a Funeral, Repo Men. It's funny."
Favorite food: "Anything."
