Scooby signs with Alabama

Jeffery Carter, four-star cornerback from Legacy High School in Mansfield, Texas, flipped his commitment to Alabama two weekends ago. The former Texas A&M commitment was excited to officially end the process on Wednesday.

“It’s surreal right now," Carter said. "I am blessed to have this opportunity to finally be signed. I am ready to go."

Carter talked a little bit about wha pushed Alabama on top for him.

“Just the coaches and knowing I will be pushed when I get up there," he said. "I know in my heart that is the right school for me."

“I have been thinking about it ever since I had the offer. Its Alabama. I never really was sure, but when I talked to Coach Saban and had a deep conversation with my parents I knew that’s where I wanted to go.”

The four-star defensive back also talked about his connection with the Crimson Tide coaching staff.

"It’s amazing," Carter said. "It's way bigger than football. I can talk to Coach Scott all day about anything. I know when I get up there they will take care of me."
