Quick gives Iron Bowl prediction

Pierce Quick, 2019 Rivals100 offensive tackle from Hewitt-Trussville High School in Alabama, is eager to watch the Iron Bowl on Saturday. He will watch from home as he recovers from shoulder surgery (torn labrum).

"I am ready," Quick said. "I think the game is going to be a lot better than what people were thinking it was going to be early in the season. I think it will be a really good game.

"I think it will be a fourth quarter game. Whoever has the energy at the end of the game is who will come out on top. This is the game they have been waiting for. I know Alabama will be prepared. They've had this one circled on the calendar. I think Alabama wins 35-21."

Quick was in Tuscaloosa for the Tide's final home game of the season against Mercer.

"It was good to get back down there," he said. "I think it's cool to say I was able to make every home game this year. It's always a good time hanging out with the players and coaches. It really feels more like home every time I go there."

The Alabama commitment continues to wear his recruiting hat every time he is in town.

"I was around Daniel Faalele," Quick said. "I talked to Jordan Davis. There were a lot of young guys there. I know Daniel loved the visit. I think we have a really good shot to get him."

Quick will take the next three months to recover from shoulder surgery. He will then prepare for his senior season. He will graduate next December.
