Allen Love, three-star defensive tackle from Huffman High School in Birmingham, Alabama, attended Alabama's camp on Monday with a chip on his shoulder. He arrived hoping to leave a lasting impression on the Crimson Tide coaching staff.

"I did half a session," Love said. "It was good. I went out there with a good mind set. I did good in the drills and the one-on-ones. I feel like I did great.

"The coaches said I did real good. They were impressed with me from when I came last year. They can tell I have been working hard. Coach Saban watched me do some of the drills. He said I looked good.

"He said they were going to watch film from the camp. They are supposed to get back to me today or tomorrow."

Love enjoyed working with Alabama defensive line coach, Karl Dunbar.

"I thought the camp was really good," he said. "I like how hands-on Coach Dunbar was with us. It was fun to go up against the offensive linemen who were with Coach Key. It was good to see how they did things. Coach Dunbar taught me a lot of good things I can take back with me."

The in-state lineman hopes to gain an offer from the Crimson Tide. He grew up hoping one day to play in Tuscaloosa.

"I like the mentality down there," Love said. "It's a winning mentality. You get the best every day. You can say on gameday you went up against the best at practice all week. I like how hard they work down there. I watched a few work-outs.

"They know what it takes to win championships because they have been there before. Growing up in Alabama you always like Alabama. Some people thought I grew up an Auburn fan because I favored them early in my recruitment. I actually grew up a big Alabama fan. It's a school I really like."
