After not signing a prospect from Florida in the 2021 cycle, Ohio State has responded well when it comes to recruiting in the state.

The Buckeyes currently hold commitments from five-star cornerback Jaheim Singletary and Rivals250 prospect Ryan Turner.

Ryan Day’s staff also remains in hot pursuit of several other Florida-based players in the 2022 class, with one of those being Kenyatta Jackson Jr. The sought-after pass rusher, who is Rivals.com’s No. 3 weak-side defensive end, was in Columbus this past weekend, and his father spoke with BuckeyeGrove about how the official visit to Ohio State went.

“I’m pretty sure he enjoyed it big time,” Jackson Sr. said. “He told me everything stood out with him. He talked with the best d-line coach in the nation in college football – period, when it comes to the history of college football.”

Jackson Jr. is one of the top players at his position in the country, accumulating 46 total tackles and nine sacks in his last full season on the gridiron. Even though he is dominant at the high school level, there will always be aspects of his game that he needs to fix and tweak.

After a weekend with Johnson that featured a film breakdown session, what did Jackson Jr. think of what the Buckeyes’ d-line coach told him in order to improve his skill set?
