Desmond Little, 2019 defensive end from Vigor High School in Prichard, Alabama, received the surprise of his life on Saturday when he received his first SEC offer from the University of Alabama.

"I was surprised," Little said. "I was happy. I was at a track meet. My coach told me about the offer. I was shocked.

"I have not talked to any of their coaches yet. I have not been up there for a visit. I know I will definitely get up to their camp this summer. I don't have any other plans right now."

The offer from Alabama meant a lot to the in-state athlete who also grew up a Crimson Tide fan.

"Alabama is a really good school," he said. "I saw the players who went in the NFL draft. I thought it was really good. I grew up an Alabama fan. Alabama is my favorite."

The 6-foot-6, 205-pound athlete is also a basketball player. Little will focus on football only at the next level. His recruitment is sure to take off with the offer from Alabama. He is also hearing from Mississippi State.
