Football returned to Alabama this week, and on Friday night, the state's top prospect, Pinson cornerback Ga'Quincy "Kool Aid" McKinstry walked out ready to put on a show.
That performance started when he walked out for the coin toss holding a Chucky doll.
"Oh man, he's a killer in the movie, and I feel like I'm a killer on the field," McKinstry said. "I feel like he represents me."
He finished the night with nine receptions for 95 yards and two touchdowns in a performance that wasn't enough to stop Hewitt-Trussville from claiming the 44-19 victory.
His first touchdown might have been his most impressive play of the night when he hauled in the 40-yard pass in the end zone to give Pinson Valley a 13-7 lead with about nine minutes left in the first half.
McKinstry said his second score felt more real to him. That probably has something to do with the antics that preceded the play.
