Demeco Ryans Has Eventful Week

And you thought your week was busy. Bessemer (Ala) Jess Lanier standout Demeco Ryans had a whirlwind week.
"Coach (Stan) Eggen called me last week and told me he had seen some film on me and wanted me to go to the game Saturday. At the game I talked to Coach (Dennis) Franchione, Coach (Charlie) North, Coach (Carl) Torbush. Coach Fran offered me a scholarship."

Before last week's call from Coach Eggen, Demeco had been receiving letters but had not been called by the Tide.
Ryans is trying to decide if he will make the trip down to Tuscaloosa for Saturday's contest versus Mississippi State. The scholarship offer, Ryans' fourth, may spur interest from other schools as well.
The 6'1" 210 pound linebacker is already receiving interest from Auburn, UAB (offer), Troy State (offer), South Florida (offer), and Middle Tennessee State.
Demeco has not set up any official visits and plans to make a decision after his team completes their season.
Jess Lanier hosts Clay-Chalkville Friday night. From his inside linebacker spot, Ryans has led Lanier to a 7-2 season totaling 106 tackles, six sacks, and an interception.
