The Crimson Tide is very much in play for four-star athlete Xavian Sorey. Today on BamaInsider.com, Andrew Bone provides the latest on his recruitment.
Linebackers Dylan Moses and Joshua McMillon should depart the program following the 2020 season.
The Crimson Tide already received commitments from 2021 linebackers Deontae Lawson and Ian Jackson.
Alabama seems poised to take two or possibly three more linebacker prospects in 2021. Sorey averaged 7.88 yards per carry in 2019 when he rushed 81 times for 638 yards and scored five total touchdowns, but Alabama views him as a pure defender at the next level.
Even though he split time on both sides of the ball, Sorey still finished the 2019 season with 57 tackles and three interceptions.
Sorey announced his top five on June 6. The University of Alabama was joined by Auburn, LSU Georgia and Florida.
