Demarcus Walker, Rivals 100 defensive end from Sandalwood High School in Jacksonville, Fla., will announce his college decision Friday at 4:00 p.m. (CST).
Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Florida and Tennessee have been the major contenders in the race for Walker's commitment. Alabama and Florida have really been considered the top two schools since the spring. He has spent several days in Tuscaloosa and Gainesville since May including four days at Alabama in July. He also attended Florida's Friday Night Lights and made stops at Auburn and Tennessee.
Walker originally scheduled his decision in May, but moved the announcement back until August in order to visit several schools during the summer. He took all the trips he desired and now ready to move forward with his decision. He was scheduled to announce on August 3rd, but moved the date due to August 24th for TV.

The 6-foot-4, 280-pound defensive lineman is recruited by the Tide as an end/jack linebacker. Walker is very athletic for his size, very strong and quick off the ball. He might become a fixture at defensive end in the future
