BOL Panel Picks Contest

Each week this football season, BamaOnLine.com will choose two of its members to go head-to-head picking college games against BOL staff, media members, and guest panelists Roger Schultz, a former All-SEC center for the Crimson Tide (and star of NBC's The Biggest Loser), and Todd Bates, permanent captain of Alabama's 2004 team. At the end of the season, those who qualify will be in a drawing for the contest prize: A free one-year subscription to BOL, a $99 value. Want to be on the panel? Click here for more information, and watch BOLevision each week to see if you've been chosen. Below is a look at this week's picks.
Alabama at Georgia

Chase Goodbread, BOL: The Crimson Tide is a decided road underdog here, but is playing with the greatest of confidence after a rout of Arkansas on the road. A high-scoring game would figure to favor Georgia and its passing attack, but UA finds a way in a shootout.
Prediction: Alabama 34, Georgia 31.
Travis Reier, BOL: Common sense says to stick with the team (UA) that has the edge along both lines of scrimmage. However, it also says to go with the team (UGA) with more overall talent. I'll stick with Alabama's offensive line and defensive front seven until someone convinces me otherwise.
Prediction: Alabama 21, Georgia 19.
T.G. Paschal, BOL: The Tide will have to play its best game this season in order to win this one in Athens. The passing game will have to be better because Georgia will load the box to stop the run. The Tide will pull off the win and give Nick Saban the biggest win of his career at Alabama.
Prediction: Alabama 24, Georgia 20.
Gentry Estes, Mobile Press-Register: Neither team will be able to do much on the ground in a physical game, but Georgia has more big-play weapons in the passing game than Alabama.
Prediction: Georgia 20, Alabama 14.
Tim Gayle, Montgomery Advertiser: The game between both teams came down to the wire last year and should again this year. It's hard to pick against the home team when both teams are so evenly matched.
Prediction: Georgia 27, Alabama 24.
Todd Bates, Toddbates.org, permanent UA captain (2004): Crimson is in, black's out!
Prediction: Alabama 21, Georgia 18.
Roger Schultz, former All-SEC center at UA/Biggest Loser contestant: Thanks to good special teams play and great red zone defense Alabama will win ... look for Georgia to shut down the run and make JPW beat them with his arm BUT the OL will have something to say about that!
Prediction: Alabama 21, Georgia 17.
Mab4Tide, Round Table Rotator (Crimson team): If games are won in the trenches, so does Bama.
Prediction: Alabama 27, Georgia 17.
IHateTenn, Round Table Rotator (White team): When matched up position to position, the separation in talent isn't too much for Saban to handle; Nick schemes against a young offensive line and puts pressure on Stafford, while holding Moreno to a manageable amount - Bama rolls.
Prediction: Alabama 30, Georgia 24.
