Best visit for four-star lineman

Michael Thompson, Rivals100 defensive tackle from Parkway North High School in St. Louis, Missouri, was among the top overall recruits at the University of Alabama for Junior Day on Saturday.

"It was the best visit I've been on so far," said Thompson. "Everything really stood out. It was just a great experience. I went with my mom and two brothers."

It was a surreal moment for Thompson when he received an offer from Alabama when meeting with Nick Saban in his office.

"I was kind of shocked when they offered me," he said. "I didn't think they were going to do it that day. The best part of my visit was meeting with Coach Saban.

"Coach Saban talked to me about things they would have set in place for me. He talked about why I shouldn't worry about social media. He talked about his positives and negatives as a coach."

Thompson has now added 22 scholarship offers and does not have any favorites at this time. He plans to return to Tuscaloosa in the future. He is recruited as an offensive and defensive lineman.
