Alabama wide receiver Jaren Hamilton intends to enter the transfer portal, he tells Rivals.
Hamilton played two seasons in Tuscaloosa, including for head coach Nick Saban in 2023 and head coach Kalen DeBoer in 2024.
He will have three years of eligibility remaining.
Hamilton played in four games as a redshirt freshman in 2024, but did not record any statistics. According to Pro Football Focus, he played 30 offensive snaps for the Crimson Tide this season. He also appeared on 12 snaps on special teams.
As a true freshman in 2023, Hamilton appeared in two games, but did not record any statistics that season either. According to PFF, he played six offensive snaps and one snap on special teams on the campaign.
Hamilton was a four-star wide receiver prospect in the class of 2023 out of Buchholz High School in Gainesville, Florida. He ranked as the No. 60 player at the position and No. 76 recruit in the state of Florida in the cycle.

The winter college football transfer portal window is scheduled to open on Dec. 9, 2024 for 20 days. Additionally, players have a 30-day window to transfer when their head coach leaves. There is also a five-day window for players to transfer after their team has finished postseason play. A 10-day transfer window will open on April 16 as well.
