Alabama has signed 22 Five-star recruits under head football coach Nick Saban dating back to 2015. Today, we check in on those Five-stars and give our take whether those recruits have been a boom or a bust for the Crimson Tide.

Alfano, the No. 1 defensive end in the Nation and already enrolled at Alabama has already put on 17 pounds. Alfano checked into Alabama at 285 pounds and looked very athletic during the All-American All-Star game. The adding of weight leaves us curious to whether Alabama has bulking him up to play defensive tackle in 2019.

Sanders will arrive in Tuscaloosa this summer and everyone is excited to see what the 6-foot-1, 205 pound running back can add to an already explosive backfield at Alabama. Sanders said that he wants to win the Heisman Trophy coming in.

Just a massive offensive tackle out of the IMG Academy. At 6-foot-7 and 360 pounds, we are curious to find out if Alabama will make him cut weight and also curious to see how he moves during spring practice.

Waddle made a big splash at Alabama during his freshman season hauling in 848-yards with 7 touchdowns. His 18.8 per catch average was second on the team behind Jerry Jeudy who has a per catch average of 19.3. Waddle also returned 16 punts for 233-yards and 1 touchdown.

Surtain who became the starting corner at Alabama early in the season had a very impressive first year with the Crimson Tide. Surtain recorded 37 tackles, had seven pass deflections, and one interception during the 2018 season.

Anoma played in 11 games this past season and recorded 9 tackles, but after the season he entered the NCAA transfer portal. He was listed in the transfer portal for one-day before Nick Saban spoke with him and Anoma then pulled his name out of the portal system. It is going to be interesting to see if Anoma sticks it out with the Crimson Tide in the years to come.

In the past two seasons at Alabama, Jeudy has caught for 82 receptions for 1,579-yards with 16 touchdowns. During his sophomore season in 2018, he hauled in 1,315-yards and 14 touchdowns winning the Biletnikoff Award.
