Alabama commitment Malachi Moore updates recruitment
Malachi Moore, four-star cornerback from Hewitt-Trussvile High School in Alabama, committed to the University of Alabama prior to the start of his junior season. It's been almost a year since his decision, and he hasn't looked back.
Moore recently returned to Tuscaloosa for the Tide's final cook-out in July. He made a few stops in Tuscaloosa this summer including a few trips in June.
"It felt great," Moore said of his return visits. "I haven't been down there in a while because of the dead period, so it was nice to get back around all the players and staff."
Moore mentioned he was around former Alabama commitment Dazalin Worsham and four-star junior Tim Keenan. He also spent time with head coach Nick Saban.
"Coach Saban said I remind him of Shyheim Carter," said the 6-foot-1, 180-pound defensive back. "Just taller and longer. He said I'll probably end up playing the star or safety position."
Alabama does not have to worry too much about losing Moore to another program. One SEC school, however, remains in contact.
"LSU mainly," Moore said. "I haven't completely shut it down, but it’s still all Alabama for me. The only official visit I have set up is for Alabama in December."
Moore will sign with Alabama in December. He will participate in the All-American Bowl in San Antonio prior to enrolling in January.
"My goal for this season is to win a state championship," he said. "My personal goal is to force a turnover in every game."
