Alabama aiming to FLIP the script

A lot of factors go into recruits flipping from one school to another with each situation a little different. The main ones you typically hear:

-Recruits start receiving heavier attention from another school/relationship grows stronger with coaching staff.

-Decide to stay closer to home or perhaps want to move little further away.

-A position coach or head coach is fired/takes another job.

-The situation is perceived better at another school- development, academics, championship contender, coaching, resources.

-Didn’t get a chance to visit school(s) before player committed.

-Playing time situation better at another program.

Several recruits who were targeted by Alabama during the 2021 cycle have committed elsewhere. COVID-19 shut down spring and summer visits. Some decisions were not impacted by it. Many were impacted, and some recruits went ahead with their commitments. Several remain heavily pursued by Alabama and will likely still visit Tuscaloosa in the fall or after the college football season. Below is look at the top recruits at each position who are currently committed elsewhere who remain on the Tide’s recruiting board.
