Alabama adds La. Monroe to 2015 schedule

The University of Alabama football program filled one of its open slots on the 2015 schedule with a name Crimson Tide fans should be more than familiar with.
Alabama has reached an agreement to host Louisiana-Monroe in 2015, The Tuscaloosa News has learned.

The game is scheduled for Sept. 26, 2015. The terms of the contract were not immediately available, although it is believed Alabama will pay Louisiana-Monroe less than the $1.4 million Southern Miss got for its September 2014 game with the Crimson Tide.
The last time the Warhawks traveled to Bryant-Denny Stadium was in 2007, when they upset Alabama 21-14 in coach Nick Saban's first season with the Crimson Tide.
Since that time Louisiana-Monroe has shown that result was no fluke.
In 2012, the Warhawks knocked off No. 8 Arkansas in Little Rock, Ark., 34-31 in overtime. The following week they took Auburn to overtime, falling 31-28 in Jordan-Hare Stadium.
Alabama now has two confirmed games on the 2015 schedule. UA is slated to kick off in Arlington, Texas, in an out-of-conference game against Wisconsin on Sept. 5 in AT&T Stadium. As part of its two-game contract with Colorado State, Alabama is scheduled to play the Rams in either 2015 or 2017. Alabama beat CSU 31-6 this past season.
